We're working on behalf of a wonderful special school in Gloucester that are looking for a teacher to come in and lead a KS1 class. The school look after students with ASD, ADHD & SEMH aged 6-16.
Within the class of 8 students you will be ably supported by 2 permanent TA's who know the students well. They are a fairly new school so boast top of the range facilities and are only growing in numbers!
The role
The school are looking for someone who is ably to confidently lead students that have SEMH, so you should feel confident in dealing with challenging behaviour and have a genuine care for the students.
Planning & marking will be expected but you will be provided adequate PPA time through the week. Ideally you would a QTS but depending on the candidates background the school are open to applications from unqualified teacher with brilliant experience.
