HR Advisor - Local Authority

Location: GL1 2TG, Hybrid
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 6+ months
Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: 22.65 per hour PAYE

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team and manage a complex restructure project within the public sector. This role is ideal for a CIPD-qualified professional with a strong background in managing restructure processes, a solid understanding of employment law, and a commitment to driving a values-based approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the restructure process, ensuring compliance with both internal and statutory legal obligations.
  • Effectively communicate with employees throughout the process, ensuring they feel informed, involved, and supported.
  • Manage the planning and execution of the restructure to achieve desired outcomes, minimising disruption and maintaining employee engagement.
  • Provide expert advice on employment law and best practice in managing restructures.
  • Coordinate the process across different departments to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Ensure full adherence to the timetable and key project milestones.

Key Requirements:

  • CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent qualification).
  • Proven recent experience managing restructure projects within the public sector.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practices in managing change.
  • Values-driven approach with the ability to demonstrate leadership through the restructure process.
  • Confident in using SharePoint and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to be in Shire Hall at least one day per week, with flexibility to increase presence at key project times or during induction.
