2nd Line Engineer - (2nd Line, Infrastructure, IT, Service Desk, Support, O365, AD, AzureAD, Azure, EntraID, Windows, Group Policy, Server) - Permanent - Gloucester/Remote

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a 2nd Line Engineer on a permanent basis for our prestigious client based in Gloucester.

This role is predominantly remote, with travel to different sites in the area when needed.

Location: Gloucester/Remote

Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum

Skills/Requirements for the 2nd Line Engineer:

  • Previous experience within a similar role is vital
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong O365
  • Extensive Active Directory experience, ideally some AzureAD/EntraID
  • Windows Desktops, 7/8/10 experience

Desirable:

  • MS Azure
  • Windows Server
  • Group policy

Start date is ASAP for the 2nd Line Engineer

The 2nd Line Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Supporting users on both a remote and face to face basis when needed.
  • Carrying out service requests
  • First call fixes including diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • Triaging and escalating complex issues to the 3rd Line team
  • Managing their own workload in accordance with the businesses SLA’s & KPI’s
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining desktop and laptop hardware and software
  • Reviewing, amending and where needed creating technical and employee facing knowledge base for articles and procedures.
  • Providing the highest level of customer service when onsite
