IT Technician Job Purpose

  • Deliver IT Services in line with requirements.
  • Enable adequate use of applications, information and technology solutions.
  • Maximise the value of IT assets, ensuring they remain operational and fit for purpose.
  • Protect the security of information, processing infrastructure and applications.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and external obligations.

Key ResponsiblitiesIT Technicians:

  • Deliver timely and effective responses to user queries, resolve incidents and fulfil service requests.
  • Set up & take down equipment for events & occasionally operate the audio-visual (AV) kit.
  • Maintain, monitor, administer, configure and provision our technology.
  • Provision and administer changes to user identities and access rights.
  • Co-create and deliver training to all levels of staff.
  • Document, develop and maintain end user and internal knowledge resources.
  • Help investigate and resolve technical problems.
  • Help maintain security controls, detect and resolve security incidents.
  • Help control the life cycle of assets and the relationships of configuration items (CIs).
  • Help implement projects, system changes, upgrades and patches.
  • Act in accordance with agreements, policies and procedures, regulations and vendor specifications, with the appropriate authorisation, qualifications or training.
  • Continuously develop their skills and knowledge.
