Are you seeking a new challenge? We are currently working with a leading law firm in Gloucestershire who are seeking an Intellectual Property Paralegal to join their busy team.

A suitable candidate will have existing IP experience within patents, this could be as an Administrator or Paralegal - if you have trade mark experience with an interest in transferring your knowledge to patents, this might also be considered. A CIPA qualification might be an advantage, although this is not essential. Strong administration skills, along with great deadline management, will be required for this role.

The purpose of this role will be to provide high quality administrative support to Patent Attorneys. Duties will be wide-ranging and you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and filing patent applications.
  • Ensuring cases within the firm’s IP management database are kept updated, including raising new cases / closing old cases.
  • Effectively liaising with clients, via telephone, email etc, answering queries and advising them where possible.
  • Acknowledging client instructions and acting upon these accordingly.
  • Issuing client invoices.
