Supply Chain and Procurement Lead

Exciting offer for an experienced professional to join my clients growing team as a Supply Chain and Procurement Lead. This role is perfect for an individual with a strong background in procurement, particularly within an FMCG or distribution environment, who is eager to take on a leadership role and drive meaningful improvements across the supply chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sourcing of goods and services to ensure the best value, quality, and timely delivery aligned with business needs.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring data accuracy within the ERP system (OrderWise) and driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify and establish new supplier partnerships, support product introductions, and conduct regular supplier performance evaluations.
  • Oversee stock replenishment, manage inventory control processes, and perform stock audits to ensure accuracy and reduce obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Accounts, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure seamless procurement operations.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements, driving operational efficiency and waste reduction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement, ideally within FMCG or distribution.
  • CIPS qualification is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong supplier negotiation and management skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and stock control processes.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and MS Outlook.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
