Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and energetic male mentor with a sporty personality to work 1-2-1 with a very challenging Year 11 male student who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs. The student exhibits sometimes erratic behaviour, and the mentor will play a crucial role in providing stability and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Morning Support: Work with the student during the first four lessons each morning, providing academic and behavioural support.
  • Afternoon Activities: Accompany the student in the afternoons to various activities such as football and gym sessions, ensuring a structured and engaging environment.
  • Transportation: Drive the student to and from activities, requiring a car and business insurance.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement strategies to manage and support the student’s behaviour effectively.
  • Individualised Support: Tailor support to meet the student’s specific needs, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the student, school staff, and parents.
