My client, a well established construction consultancy based in Gloucestershire and seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to become an integral part of their team. The company complete works across a range of sectors and projects but this role will have a big focus on projects in the high end residential sector.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the cost management function, including cost planning, estimating, budgeting, cost control, and value engineering.
- Oversee the preparation of tender documentation, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract conditions.
- Review tender submissions and make recommendations on contractor selection.
- Manage the procurement process, including the preparation of contract documentation and the administration of contracts.
- Provide cost advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
- Monitor and report on project cost performance, highlighting any variances or potential risks.
- Manage the resolution of contractual claims and disputes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Chartered status with RICS
- Minimum of 5years' experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on cost management.
- Experience working on luxury residential projects
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
