Salary: Up to 65,000 per annum + package + bonus

Key Responsibilities:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cost Estimation & Feasibility Studies: Prepare detailed cost plans, feasibility assessments, and cost estimates to ensure projects are financially viable from the outset.
  • Tender & Contract Preparation: Draft tender documentation, including bills of quantities and schedules of works, and assist in contract negotiations.
  • Cost Control & Monitoring: Conduct regular site visits and meetings to track project progress and manage any variations or changes. Ensure costs are controlled in line with budgets and provide accurate cost forecasting.
  • Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement of materials, services, and subcontractors, ensuring value for money and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Valuations & Payments: Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and payment certificates for contractors and subcontractors.
  • Risk & Value Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate financial and contractual risks. Ensure that value engineering opportunities are maximized to enhance project profitability.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular cost reports and updates to the project team, senior management, and clients. Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual with:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry and experience across a variety of project types (residential, commercial, or infrastructure) is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard forms of contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC) and strong familiarity with contract law and cost management practices.
