Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Small Works Division

Location: Gloucester (Office-Based - Candidates within 1 Hour Radius)

Division: General Works / Small Works

Salary: Dependent on Experience + Excellent Benefits

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and driven Quantity Surveyor to join their Small Works Division based in Gloucester. Operating as a main contractor, they deliver a diverse range of projects across sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Offices, and Office-to-Residential conversions, including roofing and damp repairs, and other remedial works.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a few years of experience looking to take the next step in their career, or for someone experienced who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

Manage projects from inception to completion, taking full commercial ownership.

Prepare cost plans, estimates, bills of quantities, and tender submissions.

Manage and report on project budgets and financial performance.

Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.

Contribute to valuations, variations, and final accounts.

Support the Head of Commercial and collaborate closely with a team of 5.

Ensure projects are delivered on budget and within scope and time constraints.

Project Profile

Project Values: Up to £1 million, with an average size between £250K - £500K.

Sectors: Education, Healthcare, Office Refurbishment, Office-to-Resi, Roofing & Damp Repairs, Small Remedials.

Candidate Profile

Based within 1 hour of Gloucester (office-based role).

Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field.

Experience: Open to candidates with 2+ years' experience from a main contractor environment.

Strong understanding of the commercial process from tender to final account.

Confident communicator and team player, with a proactive and hands-on approach.

Benefits Package

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.

Car Allowance: £580/month.

Bonus:
