The Logistics Coordinator will ensure efficient and effective management of logistics operations within the retail industry.
This role is integral to the smooth running of the logistics department, in our BRISTOL based company.

Our client is a leading retail company with a workforce of over 5,000 employees. This well-established company operates from its BRISTOL location, and is recognised for its commitment to delivering high-quality products across the UK.
The client are based within the Logistics Distribution and Supply chain sector.
Description
- Manage and coordinate logistics processes for maximum efficiency.
- Oversee transportation of goods from production site to consumer and retail stores.
- Collaborate with Warehouse, Supply Chain and teams to ensure product availability.
- Liaise with ocean freight forwards to book UK haulage and coordinate transport from port to warehouse, scheduling deliveries and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Contact and agree delivery slots with UK suppliers and submit warehouse documentation.
- Work with the warehouse team to confirm delivery times and ensure smooth handover of goods on arrival.
- Act as the primary point of contact for managing any delays with shipments, proactively moving delivery schedules to maintain service levels and informing wider business
Profile
A successful Logistics Coordinator should have:
- Relevant educational background in logistics or supply chain management.
- Proven experience in a logistics coordination or a similar role.
- Proficiency in using logistics software.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to handle pressure.
- Excellent organisational and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of the retail industry and its logistics aspects.
- Based in Bradley Stoke Bristol
- Monday to Friday Role 37.5 hours per week
