Alecto Recruitment are working with an award-winning company in the Gloucestershire area, who design, supply and install commercial solar panels, industrial solar panel and agricultural solar panels for clients across the South West and UK.
The company boast an outstanding reputation for excellence with extensive accreditations and an exemplary health and safety record, so are now looking for an individual with a matched passion for excellence to ensure quality processes are maintained.
The Role:
The team are looking to appoint a Health & Safety, Quality & Compliance Manager to lead and manage the company's Health & Safety, Training and Quality elements, ensuring that the existing high standards are adhered to.
You will be responsible for the quality of all installations, ensuring operational delivery is completed to the correct standards by all employees through inspections and audits as well as a structured training process.
You will also manage the Operations Support Team on a daily basis, maintaining a high level of communication within the team, responsible for developing and empowering others to use their initiative and improve skill set to ensure efficient working practices.
Key aspects of the role include responsibility for: Health & Safety, Training, Team Leadership & Management for the Operational Support team and Quality for the Company.
The person:
To be considered, you must have;
- Demonstrable Construction industry knowledge - preferably roof top solar or similar, and good understanding of H&S legislation, particularly CDM Regulations 2015.
- NEBOSH General and/or Construction Certificate qualified or higher (NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 or above in Health & Safety)
- The ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for themselves and the team, leadership & management experience
- Health & Safety management/assessment experience
- Experience in conducting workplace risk assessments and inspections/audit.
- Preferably experience in using AI in the workplace is welcomed
In addition, it would be beneficial to have commercial solar industry experience, quality management, standard and process management experience, educated to degree level.
This role has the career opportunity to progress into an Operations Director role in the next 12-18 months, and is a fantastic opportunity for someone that wishes to develop their existing Operational experience within a busy office environment.
