Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support students during lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Ensure the smooth delivery of pre-prepared lessons and activities, maintaining an orderly and productive classroom environment.
- Provide guidance to other cover supervisors, leading by example and ensuring effective classroom management.
- Promote positive behaviour, ensuring that students remain focused and engaged throughout the lesson.
- Assist with any additional pastoral or administrative duties as required by the school.
- Provide feedback to the teaching staff regarding student progress and behavioor during cover sessions.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or similar role in a school setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor a team effectively.
- Excellent classroom management techniques.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and respond to varying student needs.
- A genuine passion for supporting student development and ensuring an excellent learning experience.
- A relevant qualification in education or working towards one is desirable but not essential.
