Halcyon Health and Social Care are working closely with a family owned, Children's residential care provider based in Gloucestershire, to help them with their search for talented Senior Support Workers who have a passion for caring for children with varying needs. The company originally started in 2017 with one children's home and since then has flourished into having several throughout the Midlands and Southwest. Each home being unique in it's own way and specialising in offering the highest standards of care for children with both emotional behavioural disorders, learning disabilities and complex needs. All homes follow a therapeutic care program, supported by their dedicated children's psychologist, resulting in all homes being rated either "Good" or "Outstanding" with Ofsted.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be working closely with the management team and taking the lead in pro-actively ensuring the safe running of the home on a day to day basis. You will be expected to commit your time and skills into ensuring safeguarding practises are always followed and you're always working closely with the team to promote the welfare of the young people you care for. You will be expected to oversee, supervise and actively be involved in the key working and case management of the children and young people you support, giving you the opportunity to grow your skill-set and managerial expertise. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be working closely with both the Deputy and Registered Manager in maintaining and where necessary assisting in the development of robust quality assurance, whilst ensuring Ofsted regulations are always followed and met. In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have at least 2 years experience of working in a children's residential setting and either be studying for, or have obtained your NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce. It is also a desired, but not essential for you to have a UK driving license and a car, as you may be needed to attend the home in an emergency.

In return for your full commitment to this role, you will receive an annual salary of between £31,000 and £36,000 depending on your experience, as well as a generous benefits package. You will also be enrolled into a full induction when you start your role, with dedicated training sessions with senior members of the team, ensuring you are fully equipped to succeed in your new position.
