We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker or Senior Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Gloucester. The role focuses on keeping children and young people at the heart of our assessments and decision-making. You will collaborate with various agencies to ensure families receive coordinated support that meets their assessed needs. A clear understanding of the principles and functions of a Front Door/MASH and the ability to secure positive outcomes for children and young people within tight timescales is essential.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and make informed decisions that prioritise the welfare of children and young people.
  • Collaborate with health, education, police, and voluntary sector partners to provide comprehensive support to families.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with all stakeholders involved in safeguarding children and young people.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to support decision-making and safeguarding processes.
  • Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to discuss cases and share best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent.
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • UK-based statutory social work experience.
  • Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) if qualified after 2012.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to drive.
  • DBS clearance.
  • Experience at Senior Social Worker level is desirable.
