Flourish Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a full time basis as an OFSTED rated ‘good' primary school in Tewkesbury. The school are looking to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child in Yr 1.

The successful applicant will need strong behaviour management skills, and previous experience of working with children with SEN. The child needing support is working below their expected age, and the ideal candidate will have previous experience within the EYFS. As part of this role, you will be expected to record observations and to plan activities to help the child to meet any targets outlined in their IEP (Individual Education Plan). The school are looking for candidates who are willing to commit to a long-term position in order to ensure consistency for the child.

This role is to start as soon as possible and will provisionally continue until the end of the Autumn term, with the potential to be extended further for the right candidate.

Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:

Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent
Secure knowledge of the EYFS/KS1 curriculum
Experience of working with children with SEN
Committed to a long-term post (could potentially be a long-term role until the child finishes at primary school)
