TeachMatch Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team at a specialist SEN school in Gloucester.

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff members to provide tailored support to students with various learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Support students with personal care and daily activities where needed.
  • Work closely with the teaching team to monitor progress and provide feedback.
  • Promote independence, social skills, and confidence in students.

About You:

  • Experience working with students with SEN (either in a classroom or care setting) is preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient nature.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
  • A relevant qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent), is desirable but not essential.
