Are you an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated teacher looking to make a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs?

TeachMatch Recruitment is currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic team at a well-respected SEN school in Gloucester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons for students with a range of SEN, ensuring an inclusive and accessible learning environment
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to provide the best possible support for each student
  • Create a positive, nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes emotional, social, and academic development
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students
  • Ensure the school’s policies on safeguarding and wellbeing are upheld at all times

What We’re Looking For:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong understanding of different learning needs and how to adapt teaching approaches accordingly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach to teaching
  • Passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential
