Bookkeeper required to join our client, an Export Company located in Godalming on a full time, permanent basis. This is a stand-alone position so the chosen candidate must be comfortable dealing with end-to-end Bookkeeping.
The successful candidate will be responsible for anything from checking and entering Purchase and Sales invoices into Sage up to month and year end reporting and submitting year end accounts to external accountants. The Bookkeeper will be reporting to the directors.
Bookkeeper Position Overview
- Checking and entering sales invoices into Sage 50, adding to sales spreadsheet and ensuring all costs have been allocated and stock adjusted where necessary. Checking copies of invoices are included in the file and commission and FOB debit notes have been raised where applicable.
- Monitoring USD & EUR rates and adding to morning email.
- Entering purchase invoices into Sage 50
- Weekly bank reconciliations
- Month end reporting
- Monthly VAT returns
- Year end reporting
- Submitting year end accounts to external accountants
- Stock Reconciliation & Journal.
- Petty Cash reconciliation & posting.
- Checking throughout the day for customer monies coming in so orders can be processed and posting receipt on Sage 50.
- Daily Ad-Hoc duties such as producing finance reports, administering petty cash, filing and dealing with staff expenses
Bookkeeper Position Requirements
Experience working in a stand-alone Bookkeeping/ Accountant role
Experience using SAGE 50 software
Live within a commutable distance to Godalming
Bookkeeper Position Remuneration
Salary up to £35,000 - depending on experience
Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm
20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays + birthday off
