Our client, a reputable and welcoming law firm in Godalming, is looking for a skilled Legal Secretary with a strong background in Conveyancing. This role is focused on providing support within the residential conveyancing department to an Associate. The position requires a local candidate with relevant experience and involves working full-time, five days a week, in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Fee Earner with the day to day running of conveyancing files
- Ordering searches and Land Registry documents
- Opening and closing files
- Liaising with clients and Estate Agents
- Preparing completion statements
- Prepare and submit SDLT forms to HM Revenue & Customs
- Dealing with the Post completion formalities
- Arrange meetings and appointments
- Prepare meeting rooms
Experience and Skills Requirements
- Proficient audio typist
- Make telephone calls and deal with enquiries
- Adaptable and willing to learn

- Presentable and act in a professional manner
