Job title: Quality InspectorJob location: GooleSalary: £30,000 - £32,000 + shift enhancements Shifts: 06:30AM - 14:30PM / 14:30PM - 22:30PMDuration: Contract role - ongoing Start date: ASAPIndustries considered: Rolling Stock, Automotive, Aviation, Armed Forces, Marine, General Engineering, General ManufacturingClient Summary:Our client is a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance.Position Summary* Perform inspections and ensure product compliance (check after rework).* Records inspection results in the industrial digital tools as required.* Maintain inspection records per component, assembly and vehicle.* Maintain Quality documentation for components, assemblies and vehicles.* Participate in customer joint inspections.* Preparation of approval and shipping documents.* Control the correct calibration of critical equipment's and instrumentations used in the inspections.* Reporting directly to the General Manager, Industrial Quality Engineer & or Site Industrial Quality ManagerPerson Profile/Experience* Strong experience in a quality/manufacturing environment, ideally in a similar role.* Previous experience being able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment.* Good knowledge of problem-solving tools and product specification.* Strong background in Practical Problem Solving and Route Cause Analysis.* Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working.* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.* Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, …) and quality tools.Qualifications- ideally qualified to NVQ Level 2 in some form of engineering or manufacturing principle, however experienced individuals will still be considered.
