Our client manufactures bespoke products in both large and small quantities, catering to the needs of the ink, paint and coating industries. They are moving to a two-shift system of working, which has meant that they need to recruit an experienced Production Operative to join their growing team based in Sherburn-in-Elmet, Leeds.
The Role
Reporting to the Technical Operations Director, as Production Operative, your main role will be to assist in the manufacturing department.
The Production Operative will also be responsible for a limited amount of product testing for quality control.
Hours
The hours are currently 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break. However, as the business grows, the company reserves the right to move to the semi-shift pattern of alternate 07:00 and 09:30 starting times as detailed below:
- 07.00 – 15.30 Monday to Friday in one week, alternating with 09.30 – 18.00 Monday – Thursday, 08.00 – 16.30 Friday the following week (Total 40 hours per week + 30 minute lunch break)
About You:
Experience in a similar environment would be advantageous but not essential, other skills and attributes required:
- IT literate with a good standard of education
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment whilst being able to think on your feet
- Willingness to partake in necessary training
- A flexible approach to work and a willingness to learn various processes/techniques
- Live locally or have own transport, due to location and shift hours
If you have a current forklift truck qualification, then even better.
