The role - AWS Infrastructure Analyst

The salary - £45,000 - £50,000

The location - Edinburgh

Hybrid working is available for this role with a minimum of 2 days on-site a week.

Reed are working with a highly reputable and fast-growing Fintech client based in Edinburgh as they look to add a specialist IT Infrastructure Analyst to their team as they continue to expand their range of services. The successful candidate will be part of a strong infrastructure team who at their core ensure the organisations systems are both available and stable while supporting the ongoing change and evolution of key infrastructure systems.

The role will not only focus on existing systems but also on the development of future platforms and systems, covering both private and public cloud infrastructure, and will have a large focus on the organisations AWS cloud infrastructure.

Your day-to-day:

  • Provide key operational support across all organisational systems and infrastructure, including root cause analysis, troubleshooting and incident resolution.
  • You'll be responsible for planning, documenting and delivering upon solutions for key internal infrastructure projects.
  • Identity, assess and manage the risk of changes, applying appropriate controls to ensure there is no impact upon key systems.
  • Support the transition from solution delivery to operational support.
  • Use knowledge and experience to solve problems with the aim to identity, prevent or resolve ongoing or potential issues.

About you:

  • You'll have strong experience in AWS cloud-based infrastructures, with additional knowledge of Azure being desirable.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Containerisation and serverless technologies.
  • Knowledge of on-premise infrastructure, data centres and servers.
  • Knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience of networks, firewalls and switches is desirable.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
