Job Description:We are urgently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education, fostering students' curiosity, and contributing to their overall development and well-being. This position is essential for maintaining a safe, stimulating, and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and dynamic science lessons that inspire a love for the subject
  • Planning and tailoring the curriculum to meet diverse student needs
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Assisting with lesson preparation and effective classroom management
  • Providing targeted support to students who need additional help
  • Supervising students during school activities, including break times and field trips
  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential
  • Participating in school events, meetings, and ongoing professional development
  • Creating an inclusive classroom environment that encourages all students to participate

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • A strong passion for science and education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Experience teaching science at the secondary level is desirable but not essential
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued in the last year)

Eligibility:

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willing to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references
