Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a marine fitter role for one of our major clients on a 6 month contract based in Gosport.
Top essential requirements:
1. Formal qualification (ie City & Guilds Level 3 Or NVQ Level 3 in Marine Engineering and Electrics or Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications) and experience working in the maritime environment with mechanical systems on commercial sailing yachts or motorboats.
2. Working with power tools and workshop static machinery.
3. Expertise in working with Inboard and outboard engines.
Minimum Requirement:
* The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in working in the maritime environment with mechanical systems on commercial sailing yachts or motorboats.
* Whilst holding a formal qualification (ie City & Guilds Level 3 Or NVQ Level 3 in Marine Engineering and Electrics or Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications) suitable applications should be able to show evidence of:
o Working with power tools and workshop static machinery.
o Knowledge and good practice of health and safety.
o Clear understanding of working with different small marine diesel engines.
o Expertise in working with Inboard and outboard engines.
