Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and fast-paced warehouse team? We are a global freight logistics business seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to handle pick/pack transactions within our warehouse environment.

Job Purpose: 

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for executing time-sensitive tasks promptly and accurately. You must remain calm under pressure, multi-task efficiently, and solve problems effectively. A high level of accuracy and commitment is essential to thrive in our busy warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully comply with the site’s safety requirements.
  • Accurately pick customer orders to meet service level agreements.
  • Pack and prepare orders for dispatch with the appropriate paperwork.
  • Safely operate manual handling tools such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and canopy.
  • Receive goods, stack and wrap pallets, perform heavy lifting, and provide added value services to clients’ inventory.
  • Assist with team tasks such as cycle counting, stock movement, and stock checks.
  • Undertake any reasonable requests from Managers in line with the scope of the post.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Previous pick/pack experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your workload.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Quick learner with a can-do attitude.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A DBS check will be required before undertaking this role.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar environment.
  • FLT Licence.
