Logistics Operations SupervisorGourock£48,000 per annumPermanent ARM are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operations Supervisor on a permanent basis in Gourock. As Logistics Operations Supervisor you will assume accountability for supervising the Logistics team.The Role:* Ensuring that required safety standards are managed in areas under their control, and that the appropriate safety equipment is used* Supervising and prioritising the activities of the department* The receipt and storage of technical items received at Gourock* Ensuring that stock records are kept of technical items on hand and issued, and that the location of all items and fleet spares and equipment are known and appropriately identified * Sourcing of spare parts and materials for use at breakdowns, annual overhauls and in service as required by Superintendents and occasionally Technical Manager's* Control of major vessels strategic key spares in conjunction with the responsible Technical Manager's and Shore Service team* Assisting Small Vessels with management & development of spares inventory Requirements: * Experienced in Logistics & Supply Chain management of high value engineering, or marine projects* Working knowledge of maritime & logistics regulations * Experience working in a senior logistics supervisory position in the marine sector* Ability to communicate effectively and work with individuals at all levels within the organisation* Work cooperatively, supportively, and collaboratively with colleagues* Educated to HND level or equivalent and have relevant qualifications and certification from either CILT, CIPS or BIFA* Evidence of working in a highly unionised environment and experience of consultation and negotiation with unions.This vacancy is being advertised by Advanced Resource Managers.
