You will be working in a regulated environment for an organisation delivering services to customers. As part of a Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain team the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager oversees a team of procurement specialists leading indirect category procurement activities., assuming responsibility for strategic sourcing and delivery of significant savings.
Description
- Engage and support stakeholders, to enable best practice procurement and supply chain strategies that deliver best commercial value in the delivery contracts for goods and services.
- Leadership and development of a defined team of Supply Chain Professionals.
- Develop and implement efficient procurement and supply chain strategies.
- Manage and foster supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Drive the adoption of continuous improvement methodologies across the supply chain.
- Responsible for reviewing all relevant Legislation, rules, processes and procedures and recommend enhancements to deliver continuous improvement, while ensuring compliance.
- Manage and develop a suite of KPIs and management reporting for the team/function
Profile
- Degree or Qualified by experience
- Ideally MCIPS qualification
- Significant Procurement, Supply Chain and Contract Management experience
- Experience in contract negotiation
- Previous experience of leading Procurement/Supply Chain team
- Experience of identifying areas for and implementing Procurement best practice
- Proven track record of delivering optimum results
