Leading an Indirect Procurement Team to deliver value to the company through the creation, implementation and delivery of best practice Procurement and Supply Chain Strategies including effective supplier development and supplier management activities.

Client Details

You will be working in a regulated environment for an organisation delivering services to customers. As part of a Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain team the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager oversees a team of procurement specialists leading indirect category procurement activities., assuming responsibility for strategic sourcing and delivery of significant savings.

Description

  • Engage and support stakeholders, to enable best practice procurement and supply chain strategies that deliver best commercial value in the delivery contracts for goods and services.
  • Leadership and development of a defined team of Supply Chain Professionals.
  • Develop and implement efficient procurement and supply chain strategies.
  • Manage and foster supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  • Drive the adoption of continuous improvement methodologies across the supply chain.
  • Responsible for reviewing all relevant Legislation, rules, processes and procedures and recommend enhancements to deliver continuous improvement, while ensuring compliance.
  • Manage and develop a suite of KPIs and management reporting for the team/function

Profile

  • Degree or Qualified by experience
  • Ideally MCIPS qualification
  • Significant Procurement, Supply Chain and Contract Management experience
  • Experience in contract negotiation
  • Previous experience of leading Procurement/Supply Chain team
  • Experience of identifying areas for and implementing Procurement best practice
  • Proven track record of delivering optimum results
