Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (TA) Programme:
- Assist in delivering lessons and supporting the teacher in daily classroom activities.
- Provide targeted support to students, both individually and in small groups, to enhance their learning.
- Foster an inclusive environment where all students can thrive, particularly those with additional learning needs.
- Support classroom management, ensuring a safe and focused atmosphere.
- Help prepare resources, activities, and materials for lessons.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant (TA) Programme:
- Experience in care, working with vulnerable adults, or in roles such as sports coaching or children's entertainment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their educational and emotional development.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom settings and support teachers in maintaining an engaging learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and encourage students.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
