GSL Education are offering a fantastic opportunity to join our Teaching Assistant Programme in Sleaford, covering a range of Secondary, SEN, and Primary schools. We are seeking individuals with a background in care, supporting vulnerable adults, or roles involving children, such as sports coaching or children's entertainment.
Role: As part of the Teaching Assistant (TA) Programme, you will be assisting school staff in providing high-quality support to students, both inside and outside the classroom. Your responsibilities will include helping with lesson delivery, managing classroom activities, and offering support to students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (TA) Programme:
- Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
- Provide tailored assistance to students, especially those with additional learning needs.
- Help manage the classroom environment, ensuring it is a productive and safe space for all students.
- Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to improve their academic skills and confidence.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing teaching materials and marking.
- Be an active part of the school community, contributing to the overall learning experience.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant (TA) Programme:
- Experience working with children or vulnerable adults, such as in care, sports coaching, or children’s entertainment.
- A genuine desire to work with students and help them reach their potential.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Enthusiasm, patience, and a proactive approach to learning and supporting students.
- No formal qualifications in education required—just a passion for helping young learners.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
