Join a leading environmental company that plays a crucial role in protecting and enhancing the environment, particularly relevant to the trade and travel industry. We are seeking an Investment Accountant who is adept at managing cash flows and investment portfolios to ensure operational efficiency and financial growth.
Day-to-day of the role:- Develop and maintain a robust cash management system to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational requirements and enable surplus funds to be invested effectively.
- Work collaboratively with various departments to forecast daily cash demands, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and capital projects.
- Co-ordinate the placement of investments of surplus funds, both short term and long term, working with investment managers to ensure optimal returns while maintaining the required liquidity.
- Monitor and analyze the return from investments, ensuring optimal financial benefits.
- Collect and prepare financial information required by auditors and tax consultants regarding investments.
- Present detailed reports on cash positions and trends to management, aiding strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and reconcile the recording of financial transactions across the company to ensure accurate bookkeeping records are maintained
- Examine recorded financial information in conjunction with department managers to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Must be ACCA accredited.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an environmental or related sector.
- Strong understanding of cash flow management, investment analysis, and financial forecasting.
- Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
