Salary: Temp to Perm - 40,000 - 60,000
Location: Gravesend Kent
Position: Full time employee
Our client, who has been an established contractor for 15 years, across refurbishment, fit-out, new-build schemes across the London and Home Counties. They deliver projects in the leisure, education, retail, healthcare and housing sectors.
Due to the pipeline of work in 2025, their recruiting for a Junior Estimator/Buyer to join the team. You must have experience working in the refurbishment and new build sector, ideally with a main contractor although happy to speak to people from a sub-contractor background who are willing to learn.
Duties:
Estimating
- Able to quantify sub contractor' Rates and Materials Both from review of drawings / scope of works, and liaising with supply chains / contractors.
- Able to Produce sub contractor' Tender packages along with Material Schedules.
Procurement
- Good knowledge of building materials, supply chains and sub contractor purchase ordering.
- Good knowledge of hired plant and supply chains.
- Use of purchase order / invoicing systems.
We're looking for someone that is reasonably versatile, can cross over between estimating / procurement, and accommodate other standard office duties such as booking parking for site vehicles etc.. A strong junior with ambition to prove themselves.
