About: My client is a leading construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. They are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who has a proven track record working with a tier one or regional main contractor with significant experience working on (non residential) projects valued at £(phone number removed) and above.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs.
  • Negotiate and procure subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor and control project budgets and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide regular reports on project progress, budgets, and forecasts.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
  • Proven experience working with tier one or regional main contractors.
  • Extensive experience working on school projects valued at £(phone number removed) and above.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and legislation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, cost management software).
  • Professional membership with RICS or equivalent is preferred.
