Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a leading, motivating and inspiring Deputy Manager for an award winning visionary Nursery School in Gravesend, Kent. This wonderful opportunity is a 12 month full-time maternity cover starting ASAP. You will be an intrinsic part of the nursery management team.

If you are patient, approachable and diligent and you want to lead a team to ensure that all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiences under the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework. Apply today!

The role:

  • You will ensure the setting has the right staff, culture, policies and resources to deliver the highest possible standards
  • You will offer solutions where you identify areas for improvements
  • You will embrace inclusivity to ensure the individual needs of all those within your care are achieved
  • You will manage ratios through the staff rotas, attracting new hires and providing learning and developing opportunities to the team
  • You will deputise for the Nursery Manager during their absence

You must have:

  • A full and relevant Early Years Education qualification Level 3 or above or equivalent
  • Child DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
  • Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2024) document
  • Experience in a managerial role including nursery administration or similar
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Framework
  • Demonstrable leadership qualities (ideally within Early Years)
  • Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
