Speech and Language Therapist - Neuro

We are looking for SALT B7 to work 37.5 hours per week at present. You will be working as part of a busy Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy team based in North Kent, across a large geographical patch (Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and Swale), carrying out assessment and intervention for patients mainly with dysphagia and some communication. Patient groups include dementia, elderly care, progressive neurological conditions, stroke, FND. You will see patients in their own homes, nursing homes, community inpatient rehab wards, outpatient clinics and virtually as indicated. Must be a car driver. You will also support the team with triage. Knowledge of EMIS electronic records system desirable but not essential as some training can be given.

Salary: 30/h (Day shifts)

What you'll need as a Speech Language Therapist - Neuro:

  • Highly specialist knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent qualifications, including further theoretical training and experience to Master's level equivalent in required speciality
  • Continued Professional Development evidenced by attendance at short specialist postgraduate courses to maintain and develop own specialist knowledge and expertise.
  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent (Post Graduate Diploma or MSc in Speech & Language Therapy leading to registration with HCPC)
  • HCPC Licence to Practice, Registered member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, Membership of relevant CEN
  • 6 months of paid patient facing UK nursing experience from within the past 3 years
  • Up-to-date clinical best practice knowledge
  • The right to work in the UK
