Day-to-day of the role:- Manage purchase and sales ledgers.
- Handle VAT and CIS Returns.
- Prepare monthly management accounts including journals, accruals, and pre-payments.
- Conduct overhead analysis and manage cash-flow.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation.
- Process payments to suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations.
- Manage CITB levy returns, directors' loan accounts, and pension management.
- Oversee payroll processes.
- Support the Managing Director with ad-hoc financial projects.
- Manage and support an existing Accounts Assistant.
- Proven experience in day-to-day construction accounts management.
- Familiarity with the CIS Scheme and HMRC compliance.
- Proficiency in Sage and/or Xero accounting packages.
- AAT qualification (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Can-do attitude, friendly, approachable, respectful, trustworthy, and able to multitask.
- Excellent attention to detail.
