The Role – Head of Management Accounts
Our client is actively seeking to recruit a highly experienced and skilled Head of Management Accounts. This pivotal role is integral to the financial health and strategic planning of the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management accounts team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making processes.
Job Description
- Leading the Accounting & Finance department and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Developing financial strategies and setting targets for the team.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Overseeing budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Liaising with external auditors and managing internal audits.
- Providing financial advice to the organisation's leadership.
- Promoting a culture of financial awareness and responsibility across the organisation.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Management Accounts should have:
- Must have further education experience
- CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA, ICA
- 3 years in a similar senior role
- A professional qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- Proven experience in a senior financial management role.
- Excellent understanding of financial regulations and standards.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to formulate and implement financial strategies.
The Package
- Salary in the range of £60,000 - £65,000 per year.
- Monday to Friday 37 hours per week (Friday working from home)
- Thurrock based
