Service Care Legal are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Children's Safeguarding Lawyer to join our supportive and collaborative local authority in the Essex region. ROLE: Children's Safeguarding Lawyer (3-Month Contract)
LOCATION: Essex - Hybrid (1 day per week in the office)
CONTRACT: 3 Months
HOURS: 30 hours per week (4 days)

As a qualified solicitor, barrister, or chartered legal executive, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children's safeguarding matters. You will provide high-quality legal advice to our clients, ensuring the protection and well-being of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children's safeguarding cases.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients on safeguarding matters.
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of clients and the team.
  • Undertake advocacy when require to do so.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Significant experience in children's safeguarding law (essential).
  • Local Government experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a dynamic, supportive team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
