Pertemps are recruiting a Lecturer - Carpentry (Apprenticeships) for an Education provided based in EssexThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching apprenticeships and hold a Carpentry Level 2 or 3 NVQ or Diploma, along with advanced craft skills in wood occupations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in carpentry to apprenticeship students, ensuring they gain practical and theoretical knowledge.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievements and progress.
  • Ensure all teaching practices comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in carpentry and apprenticeship training.
  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support students in their academic and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience teaching apprenticeships in carpentry.
  • Carpentry Level 2 or 3 NVQ or Diploma.
  • Advanced craft skills in wood occupations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education degree in Carpentry or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar teaching role.
