Pertemps are recruiting a Lecturer - Carpentry (Apprenticeships) for an Education provided based in EssexThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching apprenticeships and hold a Carpentry Level 2 or 3 NVQ or Diploma, along with advanced craft skills in wood occupations.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in carpentry to apprenticeship students, ensuring they gain practical and theoretical knowledge.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements and progress.
- Ensure all teaching practices comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in carpentry and apprenticeship training.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support students in their academic and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience teaching apprenticeships in carpentry.
- Carpentry Level 2 or 3 NVQ or Diploma.
- Advanced craft skills in wood occupations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher education degree in Carpentry or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar teaching role.
