The Role:

As a Music Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging Music lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, fostering a passion for both the practical and theoretical aspects of music.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging music curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Encourage creativity, self-expression, and teamwork through group performances and individual music projects.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Plan, organize, and lead extracurricular music activities, such as choirs, school concerts, and music clubs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music curriculum and contribute to school-wide activities.
Ideal Candidate:
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification in Music.
  • A passion for music and a desire to inspire students to explore and develop their musical abilities.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with diverse musical backgrounds and abilities.
  • Experience in teaching Music at secondary level is desirable, but not essential.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
