Structural EngineerLocation: Great YarmouthSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekHolidays: 30 days plus UK bank holidaysBenefits: Pension, annual performance-related bonus, travel cost reimbursementWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing consultancy for an Experienced Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled engineer with 3-5 years’ experience to take a leadership role, manage your own projects, and work alongside senior engineers, with the potential for significant career advancement up to Associate or Director level. Long-term partnership opportunities are also available for the right candidate.About the Role:As part of this close-knit team, you will take ownership of projects from start to finish, working on complex structural designs across steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business’s overall growth, managing both technical and business operations, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring quality standards are met.Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out structural analysis and design for complex structures using both manual calculations and engineering software
  • Design in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
  • Conduct structural condition surveys, prepare detailed reports, and devise remedial schemes
  • Manage projects from initial enquiry to project completion, including fee proposals, design, drawings, and specifications
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, ensuring project goals are met
  • Contribute to business management tasks such as QMS compliance and auditing
What We’re Looking For:
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) status with ICE or IStructE
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ structural design experience within a consultancy environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in managing projects and delivering quality designs
  • A full UK driving licence and your own transport
