P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking a Tax Assistant Managerto join their team based in Halesworth on a full time, permanent basis.

Role Summary:

As a Tax Assistant Manager, you will be a key player in the tax team, providing expert tax advice and assistance to all clients. You will manage and supervise staff, ensuring that our high standards of service are maintained. Your role will involve assisting with various projects ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations and developing new strategies to optimise our clients tax position.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Present solutions to complex technical issues.
  • Develop solutions in your service area.
  • Understand the firms’ products and services.
  • Participate in cross-selling and business development activities.
  • Build rapport with clients.
  • Meet demands and provide creative tax solutions.
  • Plan and perform tax consultancy assignments.
  • Prepare and file requests while acting as first point of contact for all queries.
  • Adhere to risk management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures.
  • Ensure timely billing.
  • Manage work in progress to meet recoverability goals.

Person Specification:

  • CTA Qualified or equivalent experience of working in a tax environment.
  • Practical experience with OMB tax issues to include income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
  • Can use quick and clear thought to identify multiple solutions.
  • Demonstrate a "can do" approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills including the ability to tailor your approach provided depending on the specific client.
