P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting an Operations Controller to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full time, permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
- Presenting a positive image of the Company through first class service delivery and customer engagement, building effective relationships across the business.
- Responsible for the safe & efficient unloading and loading of Offshore Supply Vessels and the supervision of quayside personnel.
- Ensure service levels are maintained by effectively deploying plant & labour and monitoring working hours in line with the Working Time Directive and company policies.
- Arrange off-site/adhoc jobs as required, including booking third party plant and labour.
- Ensure all staff/agency are trained and competent for their duties.
- Regularly review procedures and risk assessments.
- Help to minimise operational costs wherever practical without compromising on safety.
- Ensure compliance with legislative standards and company procedures.
- Liaise with internal clients to understand vessel turnaround requirements and develop the daily plan.
- Create and maintain vessel turnarounds (voyages) within the companies Integrated Logistics Management System, including arrivals, departures, vessel movements and labour/plant allocations.
- Ensuring Vessel's Customs and CERS paperwork are submitted within a timely manner.
- Ensure all activities are recorded on the Daily Resource Sheet.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education to GCSE level or equivalent.
- Banksman/Slinger.
- Counterbalance Forklift certificate (desirable).

- Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and in writing.
- Computer literate with operator knowledge across the Microsoft suite.
Working Hours and Benefits:
- 40 hours per week Mon - Fri, 3 weeks shift pattern (on-call 1 week in 3 including weekends).
