Premier Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Great Yarmouth. This role involves designing mechanical components and assemblies, working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop high-quality products for various industries.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Experience in mechanical design, preferably within manufacturing or special-purpose machinery
  • Knowledge of materials, fabrication, and machining processes
  • Ability to produce detailed technical drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation
  • Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacture) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
  • Designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies
