Manufacturing Technician

Due to an internal promotion, our client, a successful and dynamic Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company, are currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join their team based in Great Yarmouth.

This is a full time permanent position, completing the below shift pattern, based in Great Yarmouth:

Week one:

  • Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm
  • Friday 6am to 1pm

Week two:

  • Monday to Thursday 1.45pm to 10pm
  • Friday 12.45pm to 6.45pm.

Minimum requirements:

  • Have experience as a Manufacturing Operator.
  • Have experience of working in a busy production/manufacturing environment
  • Good numerical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience of working within a regulated manufacturing/production environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, food production environment) and associated documentation.
  • Be a competent computer user.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work efficiently and effectively to work schedules based on manufacturing plans
  • Follow complex written and verbal instructions
  • Ensure starting materials, components, cleaning materials and consumable parts are available.
  • Make entries onto the inventory system (IFS) on a timely basis.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and GMP standards in all areas.
  • Take active part in daily manufacturing meetings on the factory floor.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by working safely and follow all Health & Safety procedures.
  • Be responsible for site, Health & Safety, fire evacuation and first aid in the absence of the Manufacturing Shift Leader.

As the Manufacturing Technician, you will ideally have previous experience leading a small team (this would be in the absence of the Manufacturing Shift Leader). Ideally, you will also have previous experience with training others.

Applicants must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, whilst being self-motivated with a proactive 'can do’ approach and flexible. It is important that the successful candidate is punctual and hardworking.

The role would be responsible for leading the Manufacturing shift team to achieve the manufacturing plans in an efficient and safe manner and to produce a bulk product that complies with GMP requirements.

This role reports to the Manufacturing Manager and deputises for the Manufacturing Coordinator in their absence.
