Research and Development (R&D) Manager – Great Yarmouth

Position 1 Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a client in Great Yarmouth, specialising in the Oil & Gas, Marine and Offshore Industries. They are seeking an experienced Research and Development (R&D) Manager to join their team and lead new and innovative product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review existing products and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop innovative solutions for new product lines.
  • Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from initiation to planning and execution.
  • Lead and manage the R&D team, ensuring objectives are set, achieved, and that day-to-day operations run smoothly, including recruitment and performance reviews.
  • Ensure all resources and materials are secured for ongoing and new projects, while managing the department’s budget.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair complex printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Experience with electronics, firmware, and software (essential).
  • Proven experience in managing a team effectively.
  • Marine industry experience is desirable but not essential.

Role Details:

  • Monday to Friday (day shifts).
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Based in Great Yarmouth.
