P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking anAccounts Assistant to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a part-time permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare payroll data weekly and monthly for external accountants and add journal entries on accounting software.
  • Process supplier invoices.
  • Manage invoicing of all customers, statement production and credit control.
  • Petty cash management.
  • Timesheet data entry.
  • Posting bank transactions and bank reconciliation.
  • Month-end adjustments including prepayment and accruals.
  • Month-end preparation of management accounts.
  • General admin and ad-hoc tasks as they arise.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Sage 50.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Use initiative and deal with issues as and when they arise.
  • Demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
  • Motivated with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Working hours and Benefits:

  • Up to 15 hours per week, every Monday with flexibility over the rest of the week.
  • Pension scheme.
  • 25 days + bank holidays (based on full time).
