SENCare are seeking a talented and dedicated Lead SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Primary Teacher. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong commitment to supporting children with SEMH needs, fostering an inclusive learning environment and . The position is offered on a permanent basis, with one opening available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of educators focused on providing support for students with SEMH needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, external agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Facilitate training and professional development for staff on SEMH strategies and inclusive practices.
  • Keep up to date with current research and best practices in SEMH education.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations related to SEMH education.
  • Participate in school leadership meetings and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the school.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialist training or qualification in SEMH or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of the SEN framework and inclusive education practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience in a primary teaching role, preferably within a SEMH context.
