SENCare are seeking a talented and dedicated Lead SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Primary Teacher. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong commitment to supporting children with SEMH needs, fostering an inclusive learning environment and . The position is offered on a permanent basis, with one opening available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of educators focused on providing support for students with SEMH needs.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to the needs of each student.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and resilience.
- Work collaboratively with parents, external agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Facilitate training and professional development for staff on SEMH strategies and inclusive practices.
- Keep up to date with current research and best practices in SEMH education.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations related to SEMH education.
- Participate in school leadership meetings and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the school.
Essential Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialist training or qualification in SEMH or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of the SEN framework and inclusive education practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience in a primary teaching role, preferably within a SEMH context.
- Experience in leading or managing a team of educators.
- Proven track record of improving student outcomes for those with SEMH needs.
- Experience in working collaboratively with parents and external agencies.
Salary & Benefits:
