My client is a Housing Association in Oxfordshire that is seeking an interim Finance Systems Project Accountant to lead the improvement of financial systems and reporting processes. Working closely with senior leaders in Finance, this role will focus on system improvements, budget reporting capability improvements, and optimising month-end processes. Insulated from day-to-day finance operations, the successful candidate will have the space to deliver meaningful improvements across key financial systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Working through a list of known projects to deliver improvements to budget reporting capabilities.
- Using a holistic approach to reducing month end reporting timelines.
- Enforcing the month end timetable.
- Liaise with internal finance stakeholders to understand and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Acting as the key finance systems expert, influencing and guiding process improvements.
