TeacherActive is proud to partner with a fantastic SEND provision based in Preston (PR5). The school follows a varied curriculum to suit the needs of the young people. Underpinning this, is the consistent teaching of people skills, and guidance to assist children to develop their social, emotional, and personal abilities. The school is looking to take on a SEND Teacher on a full-time basis to cover a long term vacancy. The successful SEND teacher will be working across key stages 2 to 4 teaching across the curriculum so a broad curriculum understanding is essential. Most of the young people are diagnosed with either Autism / ASD, ADHD and SEMH.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
- QTS
- Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically ASD, ADHD and SEMH
- Experience supporting children through therapeutic practices
